Be Good or Not!

Walking up Madison Avenue, my eyes were caught by a giant version of the valentine heart shaped candies. Expect that in lieu of the usual “nice” messages, some of them they had been replaced by “naughty” ones! It turns out that Peter Anton, the artist that specialized in creating extra-large copies of our favorite treats – donuts and chocolate are his main staples- is part of Keith Richard and President Clinton art collections.

Who would have imagined that these two had something in common?

I can’t tell if having such immense temptations hanging on my walls would make me salivate or nauseous. Or if I would put my wallet on a diet for such a purchase. But one thing I am certain is that if you need to get something off your chest, these heart candies would surely deliver the message without the slightest need of explanation!

You can find them at the Keszler Gallery who also carries the irreverent street artist Bansky and the ubiquitous reproductions of Russel Young. I’ve actually benn told by the gallery  that both Jennifer and Angelina had successively bought one of his pieces as a present to Brad.

Jen~ get him or her some of the Anton’s valentine candies instead!
