Drink, Play, F@#K

“Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars”

However you want to slice it… we ARE from different planets. But to be fair and “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s”, Men have one innate quality women negligently forget: they know how to have fun!

Obvious just in the title’s choice of Andrew Gottlieb’s exquisite parody of Elizabeth Gilbert Eat, Pray, Love and now movie with Ms Julia Roberts:

Drink, Play, F@#k: One’s Man’s search for anything across Ireland, Las Vegas and Thailand

The book is actually a fun read. Don’t expect a great work of literature as it compares both in plot & style to Eat, Pray, Love meets The Hangover but one I highly recommend for both sexes!

Why?

To men because it’s the hilariously well written story of a jilted husband who leaves his job and goes on to explore the world in the search for the meaning of life (à la Mighty Python!). First in a binge drinking tour of Ireland, next loosing his shirt in Las Vegas and finally experiencing with red-hot pleasures in Thailand !
And Gentlemen, you’ll hardly be credible denying that one -if not all- of those trips is not on your list of things-to-do-before-I-die.

To Women because it actually might give you some insights on how men think, their desires and the way they handle or at least try to deal with the mix emotions that come when things are falling apart.

But perhaps more importantly, it also suggests to women that there might be another option than to delve into self-defeating introspection trying to figure when & where you made the wrong turn(s).

And sometimes being a bit frivolous, irresponsible and/or fun can be a great antidote to a heartache!

My ideal recovery journey would take me to Paris to Shop, St Barts to Tan & Chamonix to Ski (with a cute ski instructor evidemment!)

Anyone wants to join?
