She’s fierce, she’s bold and she’s free!
“Be who ever you are. All the way!” she told me…
Last night I met the kind of woman that I wish wasn’t so rare; the kind committed to her freedom of expression because she knows that it is the only way to be and to access your energy’s full potential.
Francesca Galliani’s show is a bold statement in favor of the freedom to express one’s sexuality, an amazingly powerful flow of energy that too often remains untapped. And she is not afraid to explore it in all it’s forms from the voracious forces of desire to the intimate need for commitment.

Francesca’s pictures are made out of many layers and techniques. “I write words and phrases to deepen the intimacy already created by a certain intensity of my subjects, eliminating any existing distance between spectator and artwork. Images that look within. Inside the mind, desires and passion. Inside sensations” she says.
I lost myself starring at ‘Seni Morbidi’ (‘Soft Breast’), where the Italian fresco, the scripts and the curves of the naked model wrapped me up in a sensual and very spiritual space.

And walked away with a mix feeling of warm abandonment and raw sexuality in my veins, thinking that Francesca Galliani masterfully summed up sexual and spiritual energy in their potential and actual power.

Francesca Galliani’s show – The Force of Being – is a pop-up exhibition organized by Le Baz’Art, an art gallery founded by Stephanie d’Orglandes and Arnaud de Laage. Finally an art gallery which brings quality work to art lovers without the price tag of Manhattan rents. I have just spend the entire afternoon browsing at their rooster of talent and wondering where I could hang it all!
Run to see The Force of Being until 10 April 2011, at 39 Wooster Street, Soho, New York, from 12 to 8 pm.
All artworks showcased in pop-up exhibitions are accessible and can be purchased on line at http://www.lebazart.com/artists.php.
