Gone Fishing!

If you can’t have it anymore, who’s to say you can’t fake it!

Today was Labor Day in the US, marking for most Americans the end of the Summer. Even if dancing with the ocean waves, toes flirting with the sand and dripping ice-cream times are over until next year, there are many ways to remember them.

So to prolong my memories of a gorgeous summer, I have decided to add photographs to my place that evoke those days of sunbathing and day-dreaming.

Here is a few that caught my eye and hopefully yours too.

The above Fish Series is by Linda Lieberman. Her raw pictures convey the strong message that ecologically man cannot ignore what feeds him socially, politically, economically and spiritually.

I also love her Octopus & Shell Series but they are more graphic than the ones above, so I will let you discover them on her site. The good news is that her work will be presented at the Alicia David Contemporary Gallery at the upcoming Affordable Art Fair on September 30th.

Patrick Smith will also be at the AAF, courtesy of  the French Gallery Envie D’Art. His photographs are so simple and yet have the power to draw me in intensely, so much so that I can just imagine myself drifting among the kayaks below in the Gorges du Verdon.

And because a Summer can never be complete without a swing ride, here is a series by Brazilian artist Zee Longenecker that I just loved because of their vivid colors and amazing energy.

Who said the some things couldn’t last Forever !
