I love a good idea and even more when it has a good name! Sprinkle in some smart, fun and spice and I am all yours ! Could this explain why I have developed a crush for Marina Orlova and her addictive site: Hot for Words?

Intelligence is Sexy says the tagline of her website! I couldn’t agree with her more, in a compilation of homemade videos, Marina Orlova traces the origins of English words from simple words like to idioms to tongue-twisters in a playful manner (and do I need to add showing maximum cleavage!).

Voted “World’s #1 Sexiest Geek” in Wired Magazine‘s and profiled on The New York Times Magazine , all of her reviews agree on the same thing: her choice of words is clever and the girl has sex-appeal galore.

Thank god she failed at becoming a voiceless model (she tried but did not have the required height) because the woman has the cred earning two degrees in philology from Moscow, her hometown.

What is so appealing is she is enjoying her own party, and she should with her first million $ revenue scheduled for this year. Yet she still writes and edits her videos from her bed yet alone. She is single , spending12 to 14 hours in front of her computer.

But hard work paid off, her videos are among the most viewed on Youtube… 328 millions by the time I am writing…. but by the time you will be reading this, the number might have reached 330 !

Anyway, if you ask me the reason I am so enthused with Marina, I might have to say her bunny -enrgizer energy. Despite a book fresh off the press and an iPhone application, she is not resting on her laurels. She just launched a new website to teach Russian… if Russian picks up in the U.S., it won’t be hard to trace its origin to this sexy brainiac !
