Les histoires d’amour finissent mal… en general!
If you’re not French, you won’t get this quote from the famous love song by The Rita Mitsouko but I am pretty sure that you’ve figured the meaning, it’s well pessimistic.
I would however hope that everyone experienced at least once a broken heart. It’s terribly painful but it’s also -very unfortunately- the most fascinating way to experience the depth of one’s heart. So when I saw this lifebuoy with the word LOVE all around, I was astonished that such an evident and much needed object had taken so long to materialize.
John Isaacs is a young English artist who usually plays with more morbid repertoire… so I liked that he has produced this cushion based on the design of the humble buoyancy aid life ring and called it: Let the Golden Age begin…
Here are a few reasons I had to have it ~ I couldn’t find any good reason NOT to get it!
#1: to save me from drowning like in the Le Love story…
#2: To console my friends who have had their hearts broken recently…
#3: Because it’s a big beautiful felt pillow that I can sit in and even sleep in…
#4: It’s a piece of art that can be hung on my wall…
#5: It’s statement as bold as it is accomplished: a proud admission of love and an amorous…
#6: but most importantly it’s a reminder to be courageous when facing LOVE and to never hesitate to dive in head first…
Because I know now that there’s a lovebouy just in case!
