On Oct 26th & 27th will be held the Women’s conference in California inititated by Maria Schriver.
The website is brilliant with an overwhelming amout of information (or tidbits rather). It’s about work, balance, food, family, money, those in their twenties and those in their sixties…in other words it is about ALL Women in general (and California girls in particular!).
This might be a plague of the politically correct or the all too conscious citizen to make sure no one and nothing is excluded… hence it’s a big bazaar of stuff related to Women (they even managed to make Bono and his action in Africa relevant ??!).
The pinnacle is a young women in her thirties in the section : What women want, who says: “I embrace feminism and womanity, and hope that my needs address the needs of everyone, male or female.” Please help me here…
But don’t get me wrong, I am a big advocate of Women’s conferences and all sorts of ways to make us feel empowered, it’s just that looking at the website it feels more like a marketing conference with a women’s focus. I mean the one thing I really want from this conference -apart from attending the day of transformation with 19 women giving me tips and advices on how to live my life – was the paper napkins with maria Schriver’s inspirational messages at 24$!

Thanks Sixtine!
